About Us

My name is Gary Legarski, At 45, I am the proud Owner and Founder of Dancing Bears Gifts …. I began my business in 1998 selling a wide array of collectible toys (namely the famed beanie babies) on eBay. During the next several years, I was introduced to the woven tapestry business after a close friend of mine suggested the idea (Thank You Ethel Mae!).    After a successful launch of a small line of tapestry pillows and throws, it was evident that my customers truly loved and appreciated the beautiful, woven textiles.  I furthered the business line completely into the tapestry business and phased out the toy line.  In early 2008, I made another business expansion with the purchase of a 2800 sq. ft. warehouse/showroom facility (pictured above) to move the business operations from the basement of my house and storage rental units.  In late 2008, I launched this website and continue to expand the product line.  Thus, Dancing Bears Gifts continues on a path of providing customers with exceptional woven tapestries as well as other gifts and collectibles.   My future goals hopefully will include the opening of a full time retail gift store in the Northern Virginia area.   Let's all keep our fingers crossed for an improving economy!   I truly thank everyone, every customer for your support of small business!
